Let us warmly invite you for an open lecture of one of the most important theoreticians of regionalism, professor Fredrik Söderbaum.

The lecture is scheduled on November 8th, 2017 (Wednesday) at Auditorium Maximum, Medium Lecture Hall B, Krupnicza 33 st. at 16.30. The hosts of this event are the Kraków’s Branch of the Polish International Studies Association and the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The Students’ Association of the International Relations at the Jagiellonian University also helps to organize the upcoming lecture.

The title of the lecture is: “Dealing with the 'governance gap': the promise of regional governance”.

Fredrik Söderbaum is a world-class researcher, whose main field of study is the issue of regionalism. His books include Rethinking Regionalism (Palgrave Macmillan 2016), Intersecting Interregionalism. Regions, Global Governance and the EU (Springer 2014), The Political Economy of Regionalism: The Case of Southern Africa (Palgrave 2004), and Theories of New Regionalism (Palgrave 2003). He is a Professor of Peace and Development Research in the School of Global Studies (SGS), University of Gothenburg.
