We are pleased to announce that the project entitled Promoting Order at the Edge of Turbulence, prepared by the Centre of International Studies and Development under the supervision of Marcin Grabowski, Ph.D. received (as one of five in Poland) a grant in the prestigious programme of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) "NAWA Chairs". The project enables the research stay of Prof. Emilian Kavalski (University of Nottingham Ningbo in China) at the Centre for International Studies and Development at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University for 4 years, engaging in teaching activities and creating his own research team. The project is financially supported by the POB Future Society. The total cost of the project is ca. 3.3 million PLN, including more than 2.3 million PLN from National Agency for Academic Exchange, ca. 400 000 PLN from the National Science Centre, and almost 580 000 PLN from POB Future Society within the Excellence Initiative of the Jagiellonian University.

The Promoting Order at the Edge of Turbulence project takes complex thinking beyond the general principles of a specific IR theory, it opens up further horizons in understanding the promotion of sustainable order in a complex and unpredictable social life. This study focuses on three main taxonomies: (i) strength; (ii) system governance; and (iii) context. Thus, the adopted triangulation allows for a basic analysis of the three adopted packages: a) parallel connections in Eurasia; b) digital geopolitics in an uncertain world; c) the involvement of Chinese pandemic diplomacy. The results of the study remain crucial for all social sciences, and even for anyone who wants to understand the importance of governance and strength in modern global life. Therefore, the project results will make an important contribution to academic environment and serve as a practical guide for policymakers involved in the process of maneuvering in the involved regionalization of MS.
