Study trip to UN and OSCE

On 9-10 May 2019, students of International Security and Development (masters level)  and International Relations and Area Studies (bachelors level) English-speaking programs participated in a study trip to international relations and security institutions located in Austria. On the first day of their trip, they visited the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and got familiar with its aims, structure and characteristics. They also met with the representative of the Polish delegation, as well as with the ambassador of Slovakia, who currently holds the presidency of OSCE. The Jagiellonian University students were also guests of the United Nations in Vienna, which, among others, is the headquarter of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). As part of the intercollegiate cooperation, the students visited the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt. They had the opportunity to observe the daily life of the military university and attended colonel Herald Gell’s lecture.
