The Competition of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University (WSMiP UJ) for the development of a permanent interdisciplinary research collaboration is carried out within the Action No.: 3 (R2R – research collaboration) which forms a part of the strategic program – Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University.  

The objective of the Competition carried out within Action No.: 3 is the following: 

• an enhancement of international character of the research output of the University staff and the degree of interdisciplinary character of the research; 
• the creation of research groups whose envisaged result is to submit a project application within an external institution or drafting a publication which, in accordance with the current list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed conference materials and with the list of publications of reviewed academic monographies, will be awarded with at least 100 publishing points once published in a Scopus indexed journal or in a monograph or in a chapter of collective work in a level 2 publication or a monograph in a prestigious international level 1 publishing house;  
• the development of an effective collaboration with socio-economic surroundings of the university, an international scientific community and a real inclusion of the students into the research carried out at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
