Dr Marcin Grabowski elected to the Executive Council of the Central and Eastern European International Studies Association (CEEISA)

It is with pleasure to inform that dr. Marcin Grabowski has been elected to the Executive Council of the Central and Eastern European International Studies Association – CEEISA for the term November 2019 till October 2022.

The board will be composed of six scholars, including:

  1. Maria Mälksoo (University of Kent) – President;
  2. Zeynep Gulsah Capan (University of Erfurt);
  3. Filip Ejdus (University of Belgrade);
  4. Marcin Grabowski (Jagiellonian University);
  5. Ákos Kopper (Eötvös Loránd University);
  6. Štěpánka Zemanová (University of Economics – Prague).

In the previous terms (2013-2016; 2016-2019) Polish International Relations scholars were represented at the Executive Council by the Professor Artur Gruszczak, Ph.D., head of the Department of National Security of the Jagiellonian University.

CEEISA was created in 1996 and gathers individual members representing international relations scholarship form the Central and Eastern Europe. It organizes conferences with the International Studies Association and the European International Studies Association, as well as panels during conferences organized by sister scholarly associations. Additionally, CEEISA publishes a Journal of International Relations and Development (Palgrave) and the editorial series Central and Eastern European Perspectives on International Relations. CEEISA is a member of the World International Studies Committee, WISC.

Marcin Grabowski, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University of Krakow and the Director of the International Security and Development Program (ISAD). Marcin has graduated in International Relations from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He studied at Columbia University in the City of New York (School of International and Public Affairs), George Washington University in Washington (Sigur Center for Asian Studies), and University of California, San Diego, where he completed the Global Leadership Institute program. He is actively engaged in international and national research associations and broad international cooperation projects. His research focuses on the problems of the Asia-Pacific region (especially on regional economic integration), foreign policy of China and the United States, as well as international economics.
