Rethinking Euro-Asian Relations in Complex Times: Managing Asymmetric Relationships under the Conditions of Uncertainty

We would like to invite students and lecturers to international conference entitled Rethinking Euro-Asian Relations in Complex Times: Managing Asymmetric Relationships under the Conditions of Uncertainty that will be organized on June 15 (Thursday) at the Centre of International Studies and Development at Faculty of International and Political Department, Jagiellonian University. The conference will consist of 3 expert panels that will gather 12 specialists representing 10 scientific institutions from 7 countries (China, Colombia, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Thailand).

We will be honoured to host such magnificent guests as Natthanan Kunnamas (Chulagonkorn University, Thailand), Anna Grzywacz (Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland), Sinan Chu (GIGA, Germany), Tomasz Kaminski (Lodz University, Poland), Konstantinas Andrijauskas (Vilnius University, Lithuania), Kunhan Li (University of Nottingham Ningbo, China), Wolfgang Muno (University of Rostock, Germany), Jose L. Niño Amézquita (EAN University, Colombia), Katja Levy (NTNU, Norway). The panels will be chaired by Emilian Kavalski, Marcin Grabowski and Paolo Pizzolo (Jagiellonian University).

The conference will take place in room 207 at Faculty of International and Political Studies 4 Reymonta Street, Krakow.

As part of the event on June 16 there will be also organized workshop entitled Methods, theories and realities: System Transformation in the Complexity Perspective – Spinaker project durability and adaptation. This workshop is designed to find practical applications of complexity approach, its methods and theories to the international reality with a focus on the EU-Asian relations. The workshop will also be used for adapting methods, theories and realities to further international projects development, hence serving the main goal of Spinaker project, namely further internationalization of the Jagiellonian University. It will also be used for assurance of project durability.

Spinaker project is financed by National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA): SPINAKER - Intensive International Education Programmes. The project is called Methods, Theories and Realities: System Transformation in the Complexity Perspective.
