The INFO INTEGRUM conference is a recurring event organized by the Special Operations Component Command of the Polish Armed Forces and the Department of International and Political Studies at Jagiellonian University. The organizers' intention is to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives of the Polish Armed Forces and experts from the civilian academic community. This year's edition is titled: "Russian Information Activities as a Non-Kinetic Phase of New Generation warfare – Hybrid Threats."

The main goal of the conference is to identify the main directions of Russian information activities carried out within the non-kinetic phases of New Generation Warfare.

Specific objectives:

  1. To discuss selected asymmetric actions by the Russian Federation aimed at weakening the integrity of the European Union and the alliance cohesion of Western countries through the use of informational, psychological, diplomatic, and economic means.
  2. To identify the main threats arising from the widespread use of various propaganda methods affecting the increase in feelings of uncertainty and threat in society.
  3. To present probable mechanisms for strengthening internal destabilization and polarization in Western countries through the implementation of subversive and insurgent actions conducted by various armed groups and paramilitary organizations.
  4. To discuss the role and likely mode of operation of private armed organizations and anti-system groups in activating social protest potential.

Why Special Forces and Jagiellonian University?

Special Operations Forces represent the elite of the Polish Armed Forces, while Jagiellonian University stands as an academic elite. The natural consequence is the collaboration between these two institutions to achieve a synergistic informational effect. Additionally, we share a passion for good literature and an affinity for the city of Krakow.

Special Operations Forces, as a strategic element of the state security system, conduct constant monitoring of the informational environment with the task of early detection of threat indicators. A key characteristic of Special Operations Forces is their dynamic, flexible, and proactive adaptation of available forces and resources to the changing security situation. Achieving the above goals requires acquiring knowledge and experience from outside the military system as well.
