Library regulations

  1. Library users are required to leave outer clothing, umbrellas, briefcases, laptop bags, backpacks, handbags and other items unnecessary in the use of the Library in the cloakroom or deposit boxes.
  2. It is forbidden to eat and drink or make loud conversations (including mobile phones) in the Library.
  3. Readers have free access to the shelves, with the exception of the Library magazine to which only Library employees have access.
  4. Library employees may refuse the right to stay on its premises and use its collections to persons who threaten security and public order and do not comply with the provisions of these Regulations.
  5. A gross violation of the Regulations, including the return of damaged books, or failure to return the books despite reminders, gives rise to the User's right to use the Library for a specified period or indefinitely.
  6. Students must sign in to the Library for a given academic year and settle accounts for the previous academic year (closing an account and opening an account in the new year).
  7. Only materials with the location WSMiP UJ Library (Biblioteka WSMiP UJ) with the status Available (Dostępny) can be borrowed via the library system.
  8. In the event of loss or damage to a borrowed book, the reader is obliged to return an identical copy or purchase a title determined by the head of the Library.
  9. The following materials can’t be borrowed outside the Library:
    • materials from the Reading Room, 
    • magazines, 
    • rare and expensive collections, 
    • publications published up to and including 1950, 
    • materials that are damaged and require maintenance.
  10. Students can borrow up to 10 books for a period of 30 days, with the possibility of extension.
  11.  All orders must be made through the library system. The collection of books is possible only after receiving the confirmation e-mail.
