Drawing on the strength of the Euroculture Consortium, the University of Groningen, in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University as well as the University of Gottingen and Uppsala University, have created and successfully delivered a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on the FutureLearn platform entitled "European Culture and Politics." This 6-week course, launched in October 2016, is dedicated to key challenges in contemporary Europe and tackles the perceived 'truths' of European identities and their transformation. Drawing on a multidisciplinary approach, the course examines the ways in which cultural knowledge and facts were constructed to further integration processes in post-World War II Europe and how they resonate in European societies today.

The course drew over 10 000 learners from across the globe and the feedback of the first run was highly positive.
